- The manuscript

- I will be presenting

at the
ISBA 2012 Conference
in Kyoto, Japan, on June 28, 2012.
- I will be giving a discussion at the invited paper session
Predicting for Profit: Data Modeling Competitions on Kaggle.com, which I organized.
The session will take place at the
2012 Joint Statistical Meetings
on Monday, July 30, 2012, 8:30am-10:20am, at the
San Diego Convention Center.
- I have been invited to be the 2012 Bohn Scholar at the
40th Annual Mathematics and Statistics Conference at the
Miami University of Ohio, and will present two plenary lectures
on September 28-29, 2012.
- I co-organized the
2011 New England Symposium on Statistics in Sports (NESSIS),
held at Harvard University on Saturday, September 24, 2011.

has been accepted for publication in the
Quarterly Journal of Economics
- I presented

at the
2011 Joint Statistical Meetings on August 2, 2011, in
Miami Beach, Florida.
- I have written an
introductory note
to the paper "The calculation of the results of a tournament
as a maximum problem in the calculus of probabilities" by
Ernst Zermelo
which will appear in the
Collected Works of Ernst Zermelo, Vol 2.
